What to Expect from a Hosted Boutique Lodge in New Zealand

Staying in a hosted lodge differs from staying in a hotel.

There is privacy in your room, and shared space when you choose it. Conversation if you enjoy it, and quiet if you prefer that.

Recommendations are personal rather than printed. Dinner, when taken, is prepared thoughtfully and shaped by what is growing outside.

The gardens are not ornamental only. Guests are welcome to walk through the vegetable beds, see the flower borders, and observe the beehives from a safe distance.

Two rooms only. Adults only. Personal hosting.

For many travellers, particularly those coming from the UK, Europe or North America, this style of stay feels reassuring and refreshingly calm.

It is not anonymous.

It is intentional.
