Birds Ferry Lodge offers luxury accommodation on New Zealand's northern West Coast, with just two spacious adults-only guest suites for couples. Located between Westport and Punakaiki, the lodge provides a peaceful base for exploring the Kawatiri Coastal Trail, Cape Foulwind, Tauranga Bay and the wider northern West Coast.

Both guest suites have private ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds and wide open views across the surrounding landscape. Totara Valley features a king bed, while Grand View has a queen-size four-poster bed. With only two suites, Birds Ferry Lodge offers the space and quiet of a secluded retreat together with the personal hospitality of a small, hosted bed and breakfast.

Stay for a few nights, unpack properly and explore the West Coast at a slower pace. Return to the lodge each afternoon to relax, enjoy the gardens and views, or choose a chef-prepared dinner without needing to head out again in the evening.

Grand View Suite is a spacious luxury guest suite at Birds Ferry Lodge, with far-reaching views across the Totara Valley to the Tasman Sea and Paparoa Ranges. Designed for two adults, the suite features a queen-size four-poster bed and a separate private sitting room with comfortable armchairs for relaxing after a day exploring the West Coast.
